Born 14 October 1878 in Crystal City, Missouri, USA, as Paul William Santschi.
Died 9 April 1931 in Los Angeles, California, USA, of complications from high blood pressure.

Tom Santschi began his acting career on the stage at age 19. Santschi launched his storied motion picture career with The Selig Polyscope Company, Incorporated. Santschi’s large frame made him perfect casting for leading men, policemen, cowboys, sailors, and similar working class roles.
