Synopsis: [From Kalem promotional materials] Not a war drama, but an exact reproduction of one of the most thrilling and best known episodes of the Civil War. Showing the interior of the prison stockade, the digging of the tunnel, the escape, the desperate fight through the swamp, the capture of a Confederate locomotive, the blowing up of the railroad bridge and the final home coming of the survivors. A great theme magnificently handled.
