Biophone

Biophone was a sound-on-disc playback system, developed and marketed by Biophone Corporation, with offices at 1600 Broadway, New York, New York (circa 1928 through circa 1929).

Late in 1928, and announced early in January 1929, Biophone licensed the Cinephone sound-on-film playback projector attachment which would allow exhibitors to present sound-on-disc films via their Biophone system or sound-on-film prints via the Cinephone attachment. The Cinephone device itself was licensed under DeForest patents.
