The supernatural serial film The Mysteries of Myra (1916) is considered a lost film, with only a few reels surviving in the Library of Congress film archive. This novelization was written by Eustace Hale Ball from the scenario by Charles Goddard, inspired by a screen story by Hereward Carrington.
The book is illustrated by more than 200 still photographs from the serial, portraits of the stars and the production staff, photos of promotional items and more.
Also included is background information on the Wharton studio of Ithaca, New York, biographical information on the serial’s stars Jean Sothern, Howard Estabrook, Michael Rale, Allan Murnane, Leroy Baker, Bessie Emerick Wharton and Elsie Baker, biographical information on the serial’s authors Charles Goddard, Eustace Hale Ball and Hereward Carrington.
